Welcome to Community ISP, gateway for the Horsham North Community Broadband Trial.

Community ISP is designed to provide information to trial participants and to inform the wider community of this exciting new project.

We believe this trial is an Australian first, in that its focus is on providing a cheaper alternative to internet and phone access to families that cannot access this technology because of the high costs involved.

The Victorian State Government is funding this feasibility study, enabling the trial to distribute high speed internet at no cost to the participants, currently this is the only way that broadband internet is legitimately allowed to be shared under the current Australian Telecommunications Act.

Currently, many Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) do not allow community sharing of an internet plan, however there are exceptions. For this trial our ISP is Green Tree Frog, we thank them for their support and belief in what we are trying to achieve through this trial.
